BOOK: In The Twilight of the WINCO and its 12:59 a.m.

The genus and species
of the
the Apis mellifera
are those raisin -sized honey bees
the only beings
creating honey
for the Masses In a real bee box
with a handle
by the
dog food and Cheetos
and the tuna-in-brine.

The 7 foot Columbariums
of aisles 1 thru 25
hide the
underpaid stockboys and stockgirls
gutting boxes
of the newest flavored Cheez Whiz
and some
Three Buck Chuck
wine.

Their shiny, sword box cutters
and their grey
weary
eyes
check the clock
every minute
‘til it’s
quarter to
five -
in the
morning.
